Review: Effaclar Duo -La Roche Posay

My Rating:

I have combination, acne-prone skin, and my acne is concentrated mostly around my T zone;
I dont know what it is in the winter-spring time , but my skin is freaking out, and im breaking out like crazy. I guess it must be the poor blood circulation or the lack of humidity that dries my skin, so im always trying to prevent/ treat the itchy patches of small red bumps that come up.
Understandably, I was in search of a miracle product that could provide a “quick fix” this problem. A few months back, I decided to purchase the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo.My overall experience with the brand was quite satisfying (their Nutritic face creme is one of the best).

Unfortunately,  the Effaclar Duo is not made for me 🙁 !  Its “ok” but not that great for what is hyped up to be. I gave it a few tries ( applying it 2 weeks in a row) and all I could think was how bad it irritates and burns my skin. Now ,to be fair, I was looking for visible improvements, so maybe I should have tried to use it regularly both morning& night , but I just couldn’t cope with the “aching” sensation. It made my skin a little red too, so I think I developed an allergic reaction or something of the sort. Regardless, it does go a long way for such a little tube so I decided to use it on my chest instead. Supposedly, the US version of the product claims to be much more effective, but I couldn’t get my hands on it. I bought my tube from a drugstore in Europe for about 12 Euros, but I dont think I’m going to purchase it again.
